Gerresheimer presentation at PCD 2008 in Paris: New ideas for glass allure in the world of beauty and personal care

Gerresheimer cultivates this through its multi-facetted repertoire in terms of shaping and finishing, and even supplies opaque opal glass in classically nuanced colour tones.

Tuesday 22. January 2008 - From the elite to the popular, from delicate transparency to radiant colours and aristocratic lacquer and chrome allure. With a wide range of fantasies in glass the Gerresheimer Group stages a brilliant presentation at the exhibition and congress event PCD (Perfumes, Cosmetics & Design), which takes place in Paris from 22 to 23 January 2008.

Quality and individuality are in. “As you like it” is the trend, as reflected by the unmissable Gerresheimer presentation of its latest flacons and containers (Stand D1).
Hardly any other manufacturer offers a comparable range. Burkhard Lingenberg, Director of Marketing and Communication for the Gerresheimer Group defines a key distinguishing feature: “We serve both hemispheres of the cosmetics world in parallel – both the prestige market and the mass market. For our customers around the world this opens up attractive opportunities for synergy exploitation.” The product range also covers all relevant categories: for perfumes as well as a wide range of cosmetics and personal-care products, glass has an unchallengeable lead simply because of its material properties but above all because of its pure radiance.

Gerresheimer cultivates this through its multi-facetted repertoire in terms of shaping and finishing, and even supplies opaque opal glass in classically nuanced colour tones. For the international perfumery and cosmetics industry, the Group ranks among the leading European partners. Its clientele includes global players such as Avon, Beiersdorf, Coty, L’Oréal and Procter & Gamble, as well as regional operators, often in the highly specialised manufacturing field.

Prestige brand names are therefore well represented among the brilliant exhibits shown by Gerresheimer at PCD. Experts from the Group’s subsidiaries in Momignies in Belgium and Tettau in Southern Germany will be on hand at the exhibition to give professional advice. Particularly in the perfumery and cosmetics glass business, a smaller but extremely well-serviced division of the Gerresheimer Group, which otherwise concentrates on pharmaceutics, these subsidiaries enjoy a reputation as trend setters through their outstanding know-how and above all their mastery of every possible technical trick in the book. Because the high art of creating a fantastic customised get-up for beauty products involves a passion for aesthetic appeal down the smallest detail as well as expertise and feel for the right technologies.

The latest sparkling collection displayed in Paris therefore provides an inspection line-up of all the possibilities: computer-aided design, mould construction, feeder colouring and colour coating, high-gloss polishing and acid etching, direct printing and sublimation techniques, as well as the aesthetic coordination of design and accessories. What the eye of the beholder perceives is on a different level: the harmony of overall presentation and wealth of delightful and ever new effects, which are essential to market success.
