CGS was the only company amongst four competitors to receive the highest marks for its proofing results and color management solution.

Test proofs were supplied to all shoot out participants.with the task to match various output devices. Participants were allowed to use either the TAGA supplied ICC profiles or to produce their own color matches using their own profiling software. CGS decided to use its own profiling techniques and made the print outs on various devices, including Xerox DC 250, Epson 4800 and HP Z 3100.

The Italian Association of Graphic Arts Technicians (TAGA Italia) was established more than 20 years ago. Its objectives are to unite graphic arts professionals across prepress, press, and postpress disciplines, to improve the study of graphic arts processes, to disseminate useful training and documentation and to generally share the knowledge of its members for mutual benefit.

“We feel very honoured to be awarded with such high marks”, states Trevor Haworth, CEO of CGS Publishing Technologies International. “These outstanding results once again demonstrate our superior product quality across the spectrum of output devices from inkjet to digital press.
