DirectSmile has a new Managing Director
Monday 14. January 2008 - Former Vice President Sales Axel Marciniak is the new Managing Director of DirectSmile GmbH. The previous Managing Director Christoph Schacht takes over new responsibilities in software development at DirectSmile. Harry Raaphorst, formerly General Manager of Atlas BV, becomes new Partner Manager.
DirectSmile is starting the drupa year 2008 with a new top management team. With effect from December 21, 2007, Axel Marciniak is taking over as Managing Director from Christoph Schacht, who has been leading the business as Managing Partner since it was founded in 1997.
The 38-year-old Axel Marciniak has been in the industry for more than 10 years. Over the last five years, he has successfully built up and led the international sales team at DirectSmile GmbH.
“This change in management is a logical step in the development of our company,” says Christoph Schacht who, as one of the companys founders, is now taking more of a back seat and focuses on his new role in software development. “Now that major development steps have been completed and the product is successfully established in the marketplace, we are anticipating a period of consistent growth. As a founder and shareholder I know that the company is in good hands.”

As well as this change in leadership, DirectSmile announces a further staffing decision. With the appointment of Harry Raaphorst as new Partner Manager, DirectSmile has secured the collaboration of an experienced industry professional.
