LaserTryk adds PageWide T240 HD to its digital print portfolio

Monday 10. October 2016 - New HP Press and Priming Unit mark company’s fourth investment in HP technology

HP Inc. today announced that leading Danish print provider, LaserTryk, has purchased an HP PageWide Web Press T240 HD and Priming Unit. The new digital press will enable LaserTryk to move into an entirely new price range, printing short runs of under 1,000 copies at competitive prices, and in unmatchable quality.

The new press features HP’s breakthrough High Definition Nozzle Architecture (HDNA) technology, which uses 2400 nozzles per inch native resolution and dual drop weight to deliver incomparable image detail and quality. The press is also compatible with HP’s award-winning SmartStream workflow products and PrintOS operating system.

“The HP PageWide Web Press T240 HD is the first high-speed continuous-feed press to deliver real graphic quality, which allows us to compete in a completely new area,” commented Esben Mols Kabel, Chief Executive Officer and President, LaserTryk. “With two HP Indigo Digital Presses in our portfolio, we were already confident that HP would be the ideal partner for our next installation, and we haven’t been disappointed. With the unique combination of extremely high productivity and low cost, we look forward to seeing the benefits that the new press will bring for both us and our customers.”

Headquartered in Aarhus, Denmark, LaserTryk has seen continued growth and expansion in recent years with its existing range of HP digital presses, now boasting a client base that includes 15 of Denmark’s top 20 book publishers, along with a range of satellite facilities across mainland Europe. The HP PageWide Web Press T240 HD is set to be installed at its Stettin facilitities, Poland, in January 2017.

According to Francesco Crotti, Indigo and PWP EMEA Commercial Director, HP, distribution partner Visutech was instrumental in the sale, “Having worked closesly with Visutech for a number of years, we have recently partnered with them to bring our leading PageWide Web Presses to print service providers working in the Nordics. We have already seen a number of customers, such as LaserTryk, adopting PageWide technology in this region, and we’re confident that we will see many more to come.”
