Brent Becker named President and CEO of Baldwin Technology

Thursday 22. September 2016 - Kyle Chapman to remain Chairman of its Board of Directors

Kyle Chapman, Forsyth Capital Investors, LLC co-founder and Managing Director, and former CEO and President of Baldwin Technology, Inc., is pleased to announce the appointment of Brent Becker as Baldwin’s new CEO and President. Baldwin, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri (USA), is a leading international manufacturer and full service supplier of process automation equipment and related consumables for the print, film, corrugated, textile and paper industries. In 2012, Forsyth Capital Investors acquired then-public Baldwin Technology Company, Inc. and took it private.

Becker’s appointment to CEO and President became effective August 1. Chapman, who filled the role since mid-2012, stepped down to devote greater focus to driving strategy and high-level acquisitions for Baldwin, as well as increasing time with Forsyth Capital’s rapidly expanding portfolio. Baldwin, with approximately 600 team members located within nine countries, is one of Forsyth Capital’s largest and widespread companies and offers some of the most robust opportunities for growth.

“Brent has successfully served in several global leadership roles throughout his 22-year professional career. That experience, coupled with his track record for developing and executing global value creation strategies through organic growth, acquisitions and lean operating models will serve Baldwin well,” said Chapman who, as Chairman, remains an active resource to Becker and the Baldwin team. “With his strategic vision, operating skills and leadership experience, I have complete confidence that Baldwin will continue to evolve into a global leader known for its exceptional people, outstanding products and service, and ability to offer enduring value in the marketplace.”

Prior to joining Baldwin, Becker held roles as President-Asia of CECO Environmental Company; President of Curtis Toledo, Inc., a Fusheng Industrial Company; and General Manager of Ingersoll-Rand’s Energy Systems Business Unit. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University and an executive MBA in international business from Saint Louis University.

“I am excited and honored to lead the Baldwin team in furthering the company’s growth and success through new levels of innovation, customer experience and value in the marketplace,” remarked Becker. “Baldwin and its parent Forsyth Capital consider culture and results to be equally important and I look forward to ensuring that their commitment to achieving sustainable results through meaningful and fulfilling work for our team members continues for generations to come.”
