Innovation for label printers and firmly established automation technologies for prepress – OneVision Software at drupa

Tuesday 03. May 2016 - Just in time for drupa the German software manufacturer OneVision, presents its 4D colour management technology and launches its new software DigiLabel for the label converting market.

OneVision is pleased to announce their presence at the drupa innovation park 2016, Dusseldorf in the theme park “Process Optimization & Automation”. As an international manufacturer of software for the printing and media industries, they will show not only how to increase the level of automation in production, but also a dramatic difference in print data quality. Demonstrable benefits, like cost savings and efficiency gains, have been realised by such newspaper and magazine publishers as the Financial Times and Bauer Media as well as commercial printers, Flyeralarm. As a full solution provider, OneVision covers the entire prepress/premedia production workflow ranging from PDF optimisation, Image Enhancement, RIP, Transparency Flattening, and Ink Savings all the way to stand alone processes such as Imposition, Die Cut, White and/or Varnish plate management – fully automated! Therefore, OneVision with their intelligent software solutions facilitates the simplest tasks to the more complex, delivering enormous efficiency gains for the user, even in times when processes and technologies become more complex. And, users are happy to confirm:

“The extremely secure system significantly reduces administration time and error rates. This enables our customers to supply their files in a fast and efficient way.” Peter Slaughter, Advertisement, Production and Operations Director, Financial Times

Asura becomes a consistent 4D colour server with new 4D Colour Management Technology
Alongside their proven solutions such as the digital “washing machine” Asura, the last minute file editor Solvero, or the Inksaving software, InkSave, OneVision lives up to its claim of innovativeness and will be presenting new technologies. With its new 4D colour conversion technology the German software company implements substantial improvements in the area of colour management. Colours are optimised during the conversion process so there is no degradation in the composition, while reducing complaints and reprints. This also allows for a more stable printing process reducing other defects like poor registration. The system can utilise the Asura family as a 4D colour server.

Less than a year ago OneVision implemented their own screening standard with the RIP software PlugRASTER-HDin. This new Homogeneous HD technology combines the best of AM and FM screening implementations. Even in newspaper printing, photo-quality reproduction can be achieved without any additional effort.

Essential saving potential for label printing with new DigiLabel software
The German software manufacturer, OneVision, has also applied the same success story to the label printing market. Their new solution, DigiLabel, combines two systems at once: production planning from order receipt through to printing as well as the entire PDF workflow is completely mapped in one single solution resulting in more transparency, a safe production process, resulting in efficiency gains. Additionally, DigiLabel enables label printers to produce orders collect-run and creates essential cost saving potential for label converters.

Tools for digital publishing, as well as the possibility to use OneVision solutions as a software service in the Cloud, enhance the product portfolio of the company, located in Regensburg, Germany.
