Vivid Laminating Technologies highlights business opportunities at The Print Show

Tuesday 05. April 2016 - Praises event’s ability to help exhibitors meet printers and sign-makers

Vivid Laminating Technologies, one of many companies to have signed up to return to this year’s edition of The Print Show, has paid tribute to the event, highlighting how it can help exhibitors connect with the right audiences.

Due to take place at the NEC in Birmingham from October 11th to 13th, the event is gathering plenty of momentum and attracting widespread interest from across the industry. In addition to signing up a raft of new exhibitors, organisers have confirmed a number of companies that were in attendance at the inaugural event last year will return for the show this year.

Representing one of the most diversified brands at the show, Vivid Laminating Technologies was one of the first exhibitors to confirm its return to The Print Show this year. Opening up about the decision to exhibit once again, David Smith, marketing communications manager at the laminating company, cited the show’s ability to connect exhibitors with relevant audiences as one of the main reasons behind its return this year.

“We had a few reservations about the show, with it being the first time the event was going to take place,” Smith said, adding: “But it was very clear to see that as the exhibition gained momentum and the UK print industry put their faith into the show, it was definitely the right choice in exhibiting. We had three incredibly busy days at the NEC last year.

“The Print Show is squarely aimed at the end user market, not just from the other companies that exhibit, but also from the fantastic range of workshops and seminars taking place. It’s a great opportunity for us to meet face-to-face with printers and sign-makers that are actually using our kit, gain their feedback, and perhaps advise them on an upgrade, a new purchase or with some technical support.

“If 2016 is anywhere near as successful as last year’s show, we will have made a great return on our investment.”

Smith was also keen to pay tribute to The Print Show’s overall approach as a UK-focused exhibition, highlighting its dedication and commitment to the domestic market in particular.

Smith said: “We’ve already increased our stand space at this year’s show, as this gives us a greater presence to show more kit. The British print industry needs it’s own dedicated show.

“We are excited about the products making their worldwide debut at Drupa, meaning that The Print Show will be the first time these products are shown in the UK. We have some incredible technology planned for launch this year, keeping us at the forefront of innovative print finishing solutions.”

Chris Davies, event director for The Print Show, was also keen to pay tribute to the decision by Vivid to return again this year, saying that this commitment will only help drive the ongoing success of the show.

Davies said: “To have had the support of a brand like Vivid in our first year is one thing, but to have them sign up again for 2016 after such a successful appearance in year one just shows how much of an impact The Print Show can have.

“Like David says, The Print Show has been designed as an event not only for the thousands of visitors to locate solutions, but also for the exhibiting companies to meet and speak with relevant audiences. This is exactly what happened to Vivid last year and, with our expanding floorplan only generating further interest in the show this year, Vivid and all our other exhibitors can look forward meeting a real range of visitors in October.”
