Agfa Graphics to Demo Digital Flatbed and Finishing Technologies at CONSAC in Canada

Thursday 24. September 2015 - Attendees can learn how to expand their business with the Anapurna M2540i FB and Esko Kongsberg cutting table

For the first time in North America, Agfa Graphics will be demonstrating the new Anapurna M2540i FB printing system in booth #615 at CONSAC, the National Sign & Graphics Tradeshow in Mississauga, ON (Canada), September 25th and 26th, 2015. The event is being held at the International Centre located at Entrance 5, 6900 Airport Road, Mississauga, ON L4V 1E8.

Show attendees will be the first to see the Anapurna M2540i FB, a 6-color plus white high-speed, UV-curable flatbed inkjet printer that prints at speeds up to 93 m²/h (1001 ft²/hr). Featuring a moving gantry flatbed, the Anapurna M2540i is ideal for both step-and-repeat work and for printing on media in a variety of sizes at one time.

The Anapurna M2540i FB can expand signage and display production since it can print on practically any rigid and sheet material. This new flatbed delivers exceptional print quality on a wide variety of indoor and outdoor media and on uncoated rigid media such as corrugated boards, rigid plastics, plexiglass, mirrors, exhibition panels, wood, aluminum, MDF, stage graphics, advertising panels and more. In combination with the Esko Kongsberg v24 digital cutter, PSPs can offer valuable finishing services and enter new markets.

“The Anapurna M2540i FB gives users the ability to attract new business with a wide variety of applications,” said Ruben Silva, Managing Director, Agfa Inc. “From traditional to niche projects, the Anapurna M2540i FB offers borderless printing to avoid extra finishing steps, saving time and money. Due to the accuracy of the flatbed, it can print pre-, post- and sandwich white for added impact.”

In addition to the Anapurna M2540i FB, attendees will see how the Esko Kongsberg V24 cutting table can help grow business by providing digital finishing opportunities in the signage and display markets.

Demonstrations of the Anapurna M2540i FB will include printing on various Duratex media and include:

second surface printing, “sandwich white” (color, white, color)
multilayer printing such as high density (color, color, white)
second surface, two-sided printing on clear substrates to illustrate how to print an image so that it can be read correctly on the front and back (color, white, blackout, white, color).

Attendees are invited to the Agfa Graphics booth #615 at CONSAC on September 25th and 26th.
