Solimar Systems Releases Solimar Print Director Enterprise 8.2

Wednesday 02. September 2015 - New User Efficiency Enhancements and Production Management Controls Added

Solimar Systems, Inc., a leading global provider of production printing and secure document delivery solutions, today announced the release of Solimar Print Director Enterprise (SPDE) version 8.2, a software solution that provides robust data stream conversions and output management control for high volume transactional printing environments. This latest version of Solimar’s print transform and workflow management product contains new operator efficiency features and production control enhancements.
SPDE 8.2 enhancements include:

Conditional server alerts – users may set up multiple server alert email templates to be used under different conditions or situations; static text content of the templates may be edited, such as changing the heading and signature of the email, or adding instructions related to the condition that triggered the alert.
Enforce Queue Filters – the Queue Reader Module uses intelligent filters for jobs copied between queues to enforce rules and to help prevent operators from placing jobs in the wrong queues ensuring operational accuracy.
User Cancel options – added controls and enhanced selections for jobs cancelled manually or during automated processing.
Perform Data Scan option – scans data in queued jobs to obtain page counts and media information before processing jobs.
Bitmapped Font Character Rasterization – adds support to optionally disable unwanted font data, such as shading characters, to prohibit them from being audibly read back using screen readers, thereby helping to comply with Section 508 Accessibility regulations.
Extend TLE Length – enhanced support for longer TLE strings which can be used to pass metadata within AFPDS.
MICR Fonts – added option to specify commands in PDF::AFPDS(MO) output to invoke MICR font specification on IPDS MICR devices.
MO:DCA Version – enhanced flexibility to specify MO:DCA features supported by target devices.

“SPDE 8.2 is a major version update to our data transform and output management solution,” said Mary Ann Rowan, Solimar CMO and VP of Sales. “Clients leveraging either AFP or PDF workflows with inkjet printers will find a number of particularly exciting and helpful enhancements.”

Solimar products enable thousands of organizations around the world to expand and control their enterprise output management processes through robust data transforms, device optimizations, document re-engineering, e-presentment and workflow tracking. The SPDE 8.2 release demonstrates Solimar’s continued commitment of nearly 25 years to delivering powerful output management solutions to clients.
