Apace unifies Daytona State College media broadcast, production, online training and content archive workflow via automated MAM storage platform and Adobe Creative Cloud

Apace Systems Corporation a leading Media Asset Management (MAM)/workflow automation, and clustered storage system solution provider, announces ongoing successful use of its end-to-end solution paired with Adobe Creative Cloud by Daytona State College (DSC) for seamless production, broadcast, online training, and managed media archive needs.
DSC achieved the goal to streamline their public broadcast and educational resource workgroups at WDSC-TV by leveraging the comprehensive workflow, storage and MAM offerings from Apace Systems. After an extensive review in 2014, DSC chose the Apace and Adobe Creative Cloud as the most complete solution available. DSC has been successfully using this turnkey solution since, expanding the reach of its supported workflow to address different needs of its campus.
Apace as the system and software manufacturer of storage and MAM solutions integrated with Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Anywhere assumed complete solution installation responsibility for DSC.
“After an extensive bid process, we found the Apace with Adobe offering to be a comprehensive and complimentary solution suite that met our end-to-end workflow goals, while saving us time and money as a public broadcast and educational facility,” said Mike Rentnelli, Production Manager WDSC-TV / Instructional Services Daytona State College.
“We leveraged Apace’s pre-integrated system and workflow package for acquired and produced video content for WDSC-TV, our college owned Public Broadcast Station and Instructional Resources Department. We have our Producers, Faculty, and Students all securely accessing the Apace workflow and sending video content for our online courses to our CDN, direct from Apace MAM workflow automation tools. The workflow has even allowed us to streamline our captioning process. It is like an automated factory assembly line, from start to finish resulting in a great ROI model for us,” Mr. Rentnelli added.
DSC TV classes are integrated into WDSC-TV broadcasts with student crewed live productions and broadcast flows all supported with Apace MAM/Storage. DSC has also built a “Stock Media” archive on the MAM that can be shared among the production and creative services staff, faculty and the TV students. Apace MAM offers a searchable repository of campus shots, events, graphics, and photos that can be incorporated into productions. DSC and WDSC-TV have also moved from recording studio productions from tape to now capturing it directly to the server so they can immediately utilize Adobe Premiere Pro CC to edit content and post it to the web or broadcast server.
“All of our media is available at our fingertips. By using the Apace MAM Panel we see our entire cataloged media library directly within the Adobe Premiere Pro CC interface panel,” Rentnelli noted.
