LEIBINGER further expands its internal production depth

Thursday 27. November 2014 - The marking and camera specialist puts its new production hall into operation

After only seven months of construction Paul LEIBINGER has moved into its new production hall for industrial inkjet printers. A state-of-the-art machine shop spans 2,200 m², providing plenty of space for maximum flexibility in production.
Paul LEIBINGER has put a new production hall into operation at its headquarters in Tuttlingen for producing its industrial inkjet printers. In only seven months of construction, a state-of-the-art machine park was erected on a useful area of 2,200 m². “We are currently in the middle of the machine acceptance phase, then production will begin step by step,” explains CEO Christina Leibinger. In addition to various new hires, the marking specialist invested a total of four million euros in machinery at the state of the art of technology. With Hermle-Leibinger Systemtechnik GmbH moving out, this machinery will find a home in both the new and the existing production hall.
The production expansion at the Tuttlingen location was the logical step for management after the excellent business and sales trends of recent years. Here, it was clear from the very beginning that the headquarters in Tuttlingen would be expanded and no production areas would be relocated abroad. Thus, LEIBINGER remains true to its strategy of further expanding the internal production depth to be able to respond flexibly to customer requests and manage capacity in accordance with demand. “We already have an unusually high production depth in comparison to the industry and are continuously seeking to increase it. That is the only way we can guarantee our high product quality in the long term and actively influence all production processes,” Christina Leibinger explains.
