LFP - Large-Format-Printing

Saga DG presents the ICON 34S

Monday 03. November 2014 - A solvent very large format printer for widths up to 3.2 m and speeds of 208 sqm/h

After the recent introduction of the ICON 18, the Dubai-based company now adds another printer to its portfolio: ICON 34S. Designed to accommodate flexible media it features a top speed of up to 208 sqm/h.
The ICON 34S is equipped with the Seiko 1020, a piezo-electric printhead offering high-resolution printing with a drop size of 35pl. It features fast firing frequency (6.46 or 8.29 kHz) via its 1020 nozzles and high precision drop placement. Its print swath width of 71.9 mm and nozzle density of 185 npi enables a native resolution of 360 dpi (maximum resolution: 720 dpi).
Available in 4-color-mode (CMYK) the ICON 34S has an upgradeable head configuration. However, already the 4-channel configuration enables speeds between 76 to 146 sqm/h; as 8-channel model the printer achieves speeds between 152 to 208 sqm. One of the main features of the roll-to-roll printer is its easy upgradeability from a 4 to and 8-print head configuration. It uses Saga inks and parts making it one of the most efficient printers in terms of cost/performance ratio.
It is equipped with a 3 stage drying system (front heater, plate heater and rear heater) and can accommodate flexible media such as front and back lit banners, SAV, papers and much more, up to a size of 3250 mm.
“We decided to add the ICON 34S to our portfolio of large and super large wide format printers, cutters and more, as we were looking to offer our clients further cost-conscious solutions that help them achieving fast ROI while at the same time enhancing their business offerings”, says Mehdi Barrada Baby from Saga Digital. “It is our aim to be the one-stop-shop in terms of digital print solutions for our customers in the Middle Eastern and African regions thus enabling them to achieve outstanding results.”
The printer comes with the powerful SagaPrint RIP thus enabling fast and easy operation while at the same time a very good ROI can be achieved.
Visitors to SGI in January will see this new cost-effective roll-to-roll very large format printer at the Saga DG booth.
