Digital First Media Names Wayne Snow Vice President of Sales

Thursday 30. August 2012 - Digital First Media, which operates MediaNews Group, Journal Register Company and Digital First Ventures, today named Wayne Snow Vice President of Sales.

Mr. Snow, who most recently served as General Manager of Cleveland.com, will report directly to Jeff Bairstow, President of Digital First Media.
“Wayne is a proven, results-focused sales leader. He understands digital sales and he understands where our Company is going. He will help get us there,” said Mr. Bairstow. “Throughout his career Wayne has been recognized among the top in the industry and we are confident he will bring that same energy and leadership to Digital First Media.”
Mr. Snow will work closely with Kirk MacDonald, Digital First Media’s Executive Vice President Sales, and Mr. Bairstow to assist cluster-level leadership in driving advertising sales across Journal Register Company’s footprint, including the Company’s 350 multi-platform products.

A Florida State University graduate, Mr. Snow began his sales career in 1985 as a Retail Territory Account Executive for The Miami Herald. He also worked as a Senior Account Executive for the Florida Times-Union before being promoted to Advertising Director of the St. Augustine Record where he was profiled in Presstime’s inaugural “20 Under 40” feature in December 1993.
Mr. Snow also worked at the St. Petersburg Times as Classified Outside-Sales Manager, and was promoted to Co-Classified Advertising Manager before joining The Courier-Journal Louisville, Ky. as Classified Advertising Director.
In May of 2000, he returned to The Miami Herald as Classified Director, and in February 2005, Mr. Snow earned a promotion to Vice President Advertising at the Lexington, Ky. Herald-Leader. He joined Advance Digital in 2010 as General Manager where he led Cleveland.com.
Mr. Snow is a three-year military veteran, having served in the U.S. Army between high school and college. His wife of 26 years is Judith (Judy), and they have three daughters, 25-year-old Shannon, 16-year-old Sierra, and 7-year-old Sarai.
