Krause releases new LS Jet Multiformat platesetter

Friday 27. August 2010 - Krause introduces at Ifra Expo 2010 a new version of the successful LS Jet platesetter with higher plate capacity and multi format access

Krause will present in Hamburg the next generation of the LS Jet platesetter. The new LS Jet Multiformat is the natural evolution of the successful LS Jet and follows the Krause tradition of continuous improvement with consideration of the requirements and future direction of leading newspaper printers worldwide.

With more than 400 installations since it’s inception, the LS Jet represents the most successful highspeed platesetter worldwide and the new Multiformat version will further enhance the Krause success story.

The modular concept of Krause designed platesetters utilizing violet imaging has been the platform for four further platesetter developments: the LS Performance, the LS Performance XXL, the CTP Easy and the LS Jet Asia.

At Ifra Expo the new generation LS Jet Multiformat will be released in 4 models with 200, 250, 300 and 350 plates/h, each with multiple plate formats in direct access and a loading capacity of up to 2,000 plates. Further highlights are a straightforward integration to existing prepress systems and a sleek future oriented design.

With the introduction for the LS Jet Multiformat the German CTP technology leader from Bielefeld emphasizes again the ongoing commitment to highly automated newspaper production and sets a new benchmark for newspaper production.

In addtion to the high performance, superior plate capacity and multiple format capability the new machine will incorporate addtional features to achieve ease of maintenance for the ideal of fully automated newspaper production with efficient resource utilization to increase the competitiveness of Krause CTP users.

The new LS Jet Multiformat is based on Krause’s modular construction design incorporating proven technology, reliable readily available components to enable competitive production and a positive impact on resource economics. The customer profits from shorter delivery times, a simplified spare parts supply and optimised on-site service.
