InterRed Editorial System at the Digital Content Expo 2017 (WAN-IFRA)

Wednesday 13. September 2017 - InterRed presents the latest version of its eponymous multi-channel publishing solution. At the IFRA World Publishing Expo Digital Content Expo 2017, from 10-12 October in Berlin, visitors can get a live insight into the innovations in future-proof publishing across all channels: Print, Online and App.

New archive, topic planning, optimised DAM and DTP in the browser
With the future-proof InterRed solution, content can be created, managed and published on different output channels from one system. The integrated InterRed complete solution combines a print editorial system, a web content management system and an app publishing system in one. At the same time, numerous features improve the daily processes of the editorial offices of newspaper and magazine publishers or marketing departments. With the latest version, InterRed 17, completely new features are also being presented in addition to numerous improvements.
Thus, for example, the newly developed archive module with its extensive filter and search features makes it possible to organise and search through large quantities of archived data with ease. In conjunction with the intelligent recommendation system, InterRed ContentAgents, automated search or word suggestions and thematic relevance determinations are also being presented.
Thanks to the InterRed ContentAgents, the newly constructed topic planning that is integrated into InterRed can review the unique position of a planned topic. Because of this, users and editors find out at an early stage how much information and how many contributions and articles already exist on a particular topic (internally or externally). By combining topic planning, archive and ContentAgents, thematic fields are thus created for efficient multiple use.
The integrated digital asset management has also been greatly expanded. The complete workflow around images and assets has been made even more comprehensive, with rights and recovery management, automated remuneration and use verifications.
Numerous new features also affect print production. InterRed live layout enables DTP editing in the browser, which often allows common DTP tools to be dispensed with. Users now benefit from the improved handling and new functions when producing print objects. This is provided, for example, by the automated text shortening for the purposeful shortening texts to specified lengths.

News-oriented app solution: e-paper and business models
The mobile app area has also been subject to consistent forward thinking: The AppPublishing solution variant optimised specifically for newspapers impresses due to a high level of flexibility, regionalisation, the large functional scope as well as the integration of numerous monetisation models.
Of course, InterRed AppPublishing also includes support for e-paper, starting from the integrated kiosk, to regional editions, to flexibly selectable detail, PDF or read mode views, right up to the integrated e-paper archive. The top news mode, which presents selected, edited high-quality media content, is also new. Of course, the flexibility of the App also includes the individual components of the app (e-paper, live area and top news), which are available both individually and as a combined mobile app.

Live presentation and strategic advice at the WPE/DCX
No matter what form of publication or which media is to be served, comprehensive advice on targeted use of the medium is essential. A strategic analysis is essential for introducing a new editorial system, planning a multi-channel publishing approach or developing new monetisation models.
