Swiftprint employs Matrix

Friday 01. September 2017 - Huddersfield-based Swiftprint can now offer their customers a truly bespoke foiling service with its recent purchase of a Matrix Digital Foiling & Laminating System from IPEX exhibitor VIVID LAMINATING TECHNOLOGIES

Established in 1972, Swiftprint is West Yorkshire’s premiere design and print facility. Offering a full service to its customers, their portfolio ranges from business cards, letterheads, brochures & flyers, to wide format work such as outdoor banners, signs, pop-up banners and exhibition stands.

With an impressive arsenal of kit including a Xerox Versant 2100, Roland & Canon wide format printers and an Easymount wide format laminator, owners Phil & Vickie Earle decided it was time to bring their small format lamination in-house too.

“We had a ‘so-called’ table top laminator” said Swiftprint’s Phil Earle. “It was a messy and time-consuming operation and anything over 100 sheets would always be outsourced. I visited the Print2Finish event at Leeds Elland Road and was given a demonstration on the Matrix System. I was very impressed with the quality and amazed that we’d also be able to foil our digital work. I was also really surprised how well the Matrix could foil onto uncoated paper, particularly a job we used to send out using the Arjowiggins Pop’Set range from Antalis. We’ve saved thousands of pounds now we can foil and laminate on the Matrix.”

Swiftprint also run its sister company, Wedding Angels and offers wedding stationery including save the date cards, invitations, order of service and table plans. The award-winning company specialises in short-run, personalised & bespoke digitally printed stationery.

“Many couples that visit us love the look and quality of foiled invites for their wedding,” continued Earle “The problem is that most find the £150 set-up charge too expensive, as we used to outsource all our foiled work. Now we have the Matrix, we can offer our wedding stationery with a beautiful bespoke foiled finish, even foiling variable data like individual names, and all without set-up charges.”
