Lombardi gold entrepreneurs Award

Wednesday 31. May 2017 - Claudio Lombardi, founder of Lombardi Converting Machinery, has been prized with the Pollicione dOro (Gold Big Thumb) for his advanced research and results in the field of label and and converting printing machines.

Founder of Lombardi Converting Machinery, Claudio Lombardi began his activity producing labeling and tag cutters thousands of which have been installed around the world. Later, his company began to design and produce flexo narrow web machines.
In the motivation of the award, which is awarded once a year by a jury composed of entrepreneurs, lecturers and journalists, Lombardi’s ability to design updated narrow web flexo machines to meet the ever-changing demands of the converting world.
With his constant presence at international fairs, like Labelexpo Europe, USA and Asia, Lombardi is an ambassador of the Italian high tech in the converting market and he contributed to affirm the ‘Made in Italy’ worldwide, thanks to numerous installations especially in Europe, India and the Middle East, where his innovative Synchroline, Invicta and Flexoline continue to be appreciated by the large companies in the graphics arts industry for accuracy, versatility and reliability of an innovative electronics and, as the customers point out, of their assistance and availability to solving manufacturing problems. In fact, Customer Satisfaction is one of the guiding principles that led Lombardi’s company to success.
For over a decade, supported by her three sons: Lorenzo (Sales Director), Massimo (Sales Director) and Nicola (Marketing Manager) in the company’s management, Claudio Lombardi looks to the future by investing heavily in R&D in the field of electronics and software applied to the flexo printing, with excellent results, which have led the company to be recognized and appreciated internationally.
The Award has been instituted 25 years ago to encourage research in the printing industry and to be an example for graphic design school students.
