Kombo SDC+ 3.2 at Fespa

Tuesday 16. May 2017 - Italian manufacturer Elitron (A1-D55) is debuting its new Kombo SDC+ 3.2 large-format digital cutter at this years Fespa.

The Kombo was shown as a prototype at last year, but it has been upgraded since then, with improvements made to its mechanics and its gantry moved to accommodate larger media.
It has been available commercially for around a month and is already installed at a number of beta sites.
With a 3.2×2.1m bed, the cutter is Elitron’s widest machine, according to marketing and PR coordinator Giacomo Zoppi.
Zoppi said the conveyor cutting table was developed for rolls of material such as textiles, banners, wallpaper and vinyl, but can also handle rigid materials.
Elitron will also be showing its upgraded Kombo TH twin-head flatbed cutting system, which has been made slightly longer and is now complete with Seeker System and video projection facility.
The Seeker System scans a working area, recognises printed images and automatically loads cutting files that are associated with the image.
Zoppi said: “The feedback from the market is very good, especially for the new TH. It’s a consolidated machine and the performance is there. The advantages of the video projection and the Seeker System are something that cannot be found in the market so far.”
Also on stand, Elitron is exhibiting its Heleva automated feeding system for wide-format printers.
