Kornit Digital to show new Avalanche R-Series and announce workflow collaboration with Custom Gateway at C!Print Lyon

Thursday 02. February 2017 - Leading direct-to-garment technology platform receives upgrade for even higher reliability; order intake and job management are drastically simplified

Kornit Digital, (NASDAQ: KRNT), a global market leader in digital textile printing technology, has announced details of its presence at the C!Print show, taking place in Lyon, France, January 31 – February 2.
In collaboration with Must Technologie, Kornit’s authorized partner in France, the company’s presence will feature two main elements:

? First European showing of the new Avalanche R-Series (stand 1D14-18 and 1D18-20)
? Presentation of a complete digital garment production workflow in collaboration with Custom Gateway (Plug & Play Area, Textile & Garment section)

Avalanche R-Series

Kornit’s Avalanche platform is the company’s flagship direct-to-garment printing system. Both the Avalanche Hexa and the Avalanche 1000 are commercially available from January 31 in a new ‘R-Series’ version, with a recirculating ink system as the primary innovation. This technology, which Kornit already uses in the Storm series, the Allegro and the Vulcan, optimizes print quality, reliability and ink efficiency. As a result, users of the Avalanche R-Series benefit from up to 20% ink savings and faster system availability after the start-up process.

The new R-Series versions will replace the current systems. The capabilities of the R-Series are also available for existing Avalanche Hexa and Avalanche 1000 installations as an upgrade, from January 31.

The Kornit Avalanche Hexa R-Series, shown in Lyon, includes six color channels plus white, for a wider gamut and improved spot color handling. Users can easily reproduce the true colors of licensed sports teams and accurately match corporate logos with fiery reds, warm yellows, deep blues and greens, vivid purples and many more.

Custom Gateway partnership

In collaboration with the mass customization workflow specialist Custom Gateway, Kornit will set up a garment decoration factory where C!Print visitors can design their individual shirts and have them produced live during the show on a Kornit Breeze. The software workflow will include Custom Gateway’s product configurator which supports the creation of personalized and on-demand garments, followed by print data creation and handover to the production workflow.

The production workflow itself generates the actual print file optimized for Kornit systems and supports additional functionalities such as barcode scanning, logistics support and workflow automation.

Both solutions are API-based and can be integrated with any eCommerce platform, adding full web-to-print support to Kornit’s single step production systems – from website through to ordering, printing and shipping. The workflow is available to all Kornit users world-wide.

“We are very happy to show Kornit’s latest innovation in Europe and at the beginning of the year,” stated Oliver Luedtke, Kornit Digital’s European Marketing Director. “The new Avalanche R-Series as well as the partnership with Custom Gateway prove how we continuously strive to optimize the user experience and system reliability in the industrial mass customization space for garments.”
