“No excuse” not to attend, says Friedheim sales chief

Tuesday 13. September 2016 - Supplier plans to showcase small to medium range of technology at the NEC

Stuart Bamford, national sales manager at Friedheim International, has said there is “no excuse” for industry members not to attend The Print Show this year, revealing that the supplier will use the event to address demand in the wider market.

“We are always excited when there is an event like this in the UK and we see this as an exciting opportunity to meet new and existing customers, as well as sell machines,” Bamford said. “There isn’t anything else like this, the venue is perfect and there is no excuse for anyone not to go.”

Friedheim, which has taken one of the larger stands at the show, will display a host of technology, including the MBO T535 Perfection buckle folding machine and an A56 mobile stream delivery, Komfi Amiga 52 thermal laminating machine, Audion Elektro CS Matic automatic shrink wrapper, EL-Matic automatic L-sealer, and TE-Matic shrink tunnel.

However, the technologies that could draw significant interest at the show will be the new Schneider Senator 78 Advance guillotine and Wohlenberg 80 ‘Basic Line’ high speed cutter.

“The machines that we are showing are where we see the greatest demand in the UK—B2 folding, laminating, cutting and shrink wrapping,” Bamford said.

“We see this as a good opportunity to boost our profile, especially with publicity materials for the show. It will allow us to show our small to medium range of equipment to a wider audience.

“Personally, I’m looking forward to the show and glad to be a part of it.”

The MBO T535 Perfection is a 50 x 70cm format machine that offers short set-up times due to an integrated automation package as well as VARIO Control, the latest generation of MBO operator controls. The A56 can operate at speeds of up to 10m/min and handle materials measuring up to 56cm wide.

Elsewhere, the Komfi Amiga 52 thermal laminating machine offers output speeds of up to 36m/min and offers a host of special features, such as a vacuum pump, bottom suction feeder with the possibility of adding sheets continuously and automatic skeet overlap control. The Audion Elektro CS Matic is available in two versions—the CS100 and CS200—with users able to benefit from an unlimited length of product that can be packed, an increase in production capacity, as well as less waste film, which Friedheim says results in lower costs.

The EL-Matic automatic L-sealer, which can be used in combination with the TE-Matic shrink tunnel—also being shown at The Print Show—offers continuous cycle sealing, 20 different operations programs, single pack of multi-pack mode, as well as the ability to handle both polyethylene and polyolefin.

The Schneider Senator 78 Advance guillotine boasts a maximum cutting width of 780mm, in addition to a direct electromechanical knife drive, hydraulic clamp bar, two HSS knives, and a one-piece rear table. Also new to at the show this year is the Wohlenberg 80 ‘Basic Line’ has a cutting height of 120mm without false clamp plate (113mm with), a maximum cutting depth of 800mm, as well as a maximum number of cuts per cycle of 45 per minute.
