CTP - Computer to Plate

Krause program for the World Publishing Expo 2013

Tuesday 27. August 2013 - Krause will present its CTP portfolio at the World Publishing Expo 2013 in October in Berlin under the motto: "The Art of CTP". Featured will be the LS Jet Multiformat 400 with BlueFin in the latest version and the Smart'n'Easy line plus the Krause JetNet workflow.

At the World Publishing Expo 2013 Krause will demonstrate again the most advanced CTP system with the platesetter LS Jet Multiformat and the energy saving BlueFin processor with a capacity of up to 400 plates per hour, a total system capacity which currently can only be guaranteed by Krause.
The LS Jet and the LS Jet Multiformat platesetters are available in the models 200, 250, 300, 350 and 400 and can be equipped with a trolley or pallet loading.
Krause shows with this upgradeable platesetter family of the LS Jet with a trolley or the LS Jet Multiformat with 2 trolleys and multiple formats in direct access once again the unique modularity of the Krause CTP systems. Also, the upgrade from the LS Jet to the LS Jet Multiformat is possible. The speed and functionality can be precisely tailored to the needs of customers and adjusted at any time if the requirements change.
With Just-In-Time production the Krause Power Loader achieves with up to 6,000 plates in different formats in a flexible online access directly from the pallets the highest degree of automation. The loading of the plate pallets by a pallet truck is very simple, practical and is performed at a minimum of floor space, because the footprint of the platesetter does not change.
The Krause BlueFin processors feature an innovative preheat, rollers with a diameter of 80mm, a chain drive and a powerful cold air drying by a unique robustness and can handle the full power of up to 400 plates per hour permanently. Therefore a Krause CTP system offers full flexibility and maximum investment security for customers and scores with the lowest operating costs.
For the successful Smart’n’Easy CTP system Krause will show the Smart’n’Easy Fin with its own control panel. The S’n’E Fin can now operate inline or as an autonomous processor and will be released at the WPE with an upgrade option for the processing of polymer and polymer lowchem plates. This enables customers in markets where these plate types are not yet available, to invest in CTP and they are well prepared because the S’n’E Fin processor simply can handle both types of plates in the future.
The Krause JetNet workflow with Krause platesetter interface ensures the simple and reliable control of the CTP system and optimal integration into the production planning or plate logistics systems of a modern newspaper production. External customers are involved via the new JetNet portal.
Krause will present its CTP solutions and informs you about “The Art of CTP” at the World Publishing Expo 2012 in hall 1.2 at booth 310.
